GENEVA SHOW

I was very much honored that the C.I.K has invited me to cooperate with the C.I.K in order to use some of our vintage karts and engines for their celebration show. The booth was set up beautifully in detail and a great brochure was spread around as well. Of course it was great to meet some famous visitors as well, such as mr Peter de Bruyn, mr Jorn Haase and mr Franco Baroni. Actually, there were famous visitors of the past and current karting scene. Also there was a lot of interest from media and press. Special thanks and appreciation have to go to mr Vincent Caro (executive secretary of the C.I.K.) for organizing this great event.
50 YEARS OF KARTING IN THE NETHERLANDS

This link will give you an impression of how 50 years of karting was celebrated in the netherland (holland) this year. Fred (the fastest drumming crancker) and my self arrived by the white 1964 chevrolet impala, kart in the trunk. In the first driving section you can see myself in a white racing suit, partly covered with a yellow mc culloch jersy and wearing a white helmet ( and kartnumber 11) the kart is a 1968 dartkart with dual ( 2) mc culloch 101 engines behind the seat. Carlisle tires in front, continental in rear.
ITALIAN KART MYSTERY

Attached photo's are showing an Italian Kart with power products HS1 engines. I was told these engines are from end fifties, could this be correct? Were these engines common use? What is the capacity per engine? The story is that this kart was build for, the "Augusta family" (yes, the famous motorcycle family) from Italy. It' s a deadaxle kart. It has firestone tires, palmini tank, inlet manifolds and exhaust stacks.
McCULLOCH MIRACLE

Can you believe this? It looks like an Italian company I.M.I. took a MC101 and transformed it into an unbelievable engine (year of production 1974). It has a cylinderhead with 4 outlet valves now, and still uses the original intake. I don’t know if these engines ever run or not. The one that I have is brand new ! The only things missing on my engine are a belt and a carby. This might be the rarest MC around the world. I look very much forward to a reaction from someone who has seen this engine before..
GENTLEMEN START YOUR ENGINES

This is a way to start a twin McCulloch go-kart:
A) Star your chainsaw
B) Put a belt around the pully that's on an engine
C) Full throttle the chainsaw and strength the belt
D) Start both engines, one by one, and take off!
E) Smile all the way!!
